Our memberships are designed so that you pay for what you need and use, nothing more. We have memberships starting as low as $50.00 per year plus usage fees, so we can accommodate even the most casual shooter.
Why do I have to be a member?
A membership at SSNW does not only allow you to fire in the range – our facility offers the firearm enthusiast a complete experience, much like a country club. Members can take advantage of our full facility, in addition to special discounts, weekly and scheduled events, brunches, and more. A membership at SSNW brings with it a membership to a community of firearm enthusiasts, and an unrivaled experience for any level of shooter.
Can I bring my friends or family to the facility with me?
We operate as a members-only facility. However, members can bring one guest at a time. A Standard Guest Pass is just $10.00 and allows the guest to shoot handguns only. Premier and Foundation members can have a Premier Guest for just $20.00 and they can access the Rifle and Steel Bay as well as the Pistol bay. The guest must accompany the member in their lane, use, and is the sole responsibility of the member; the member is completely accountable for any damage, injury, or disruption caused by the guest. The member is limited to one such guest at a time because it is a two person lane. If you would like to bring your son or daughter between the ages of 11 and 18, you must be a Premier or Foundation Member.
What if I'm visiting the area, and just want to try SSNW once?
Because we have promised our members a safe and high quality range, we cannot allow day passes. However, the Standard membership is only $50.00 which includes a free shooting session and Rental Package for the day.

Things such as facility misuse, inappropriate actions or behaviors, and disruptions must carry with them some penalty to ensure the safety and comfort of our members. We do not give these strikes lightly, and continuous disruptions will necessarily result in removal from the facility, and loss of any rights therein, both financially and administratively.
Range Rules & Regulations
What kind of guns can I shoot on the range?
We offer the option to shoot handguns, rifles, and shotguns. We encourage you to fire your own, or take advantage of our extensive rental program, which is unmatched in its quality, quantity, and selection. SSNW reserves the right to inspect any and all firearms, in addition to the right to deny usage of any firearm we find to be unsafe or not in optimal functioning condition.
What calibers are allowed on the range?
We allow for any caliber up to .308. For details on what you can use, please see our membership tiers and their usage rights.
Are fully automatic weapons, Short Barrel Rifles(SBR), Short Barrel Shotguns(SBS) or suppressors allowed?
We are subject to Washington State regulations on Class 3 and above weapons, which restrict firing them in state lines. However, through our Insight instruction on these items, students of certain classes can fire SSNW-owned items for testing purposes. Members cannot bring their personal full auto, SB long guns, or suppressors with them, but can fire the SSNW weapons via the Insight training course. We also have a select few SBRs in our rental program.
Can I shoot a gun before I buy it at the DGS store?
Yes, in a sense. Our extensive rental program is designed for just that purpose; try out your options before you make a purchase. However, you may not fire the exact gun you want to purchase; only the rental guns can be fired. Our rental list involves all of the major and premiere modern weaponry such as Heckler & Koch, Sig Sauer, Glock, DPMS, Springfield Armory, and Beretta. Please refer to our online rental section for more details, and a current listing of available weapons.
What ammunition is allowed on the range?
We allow the use of any new production style brass manufactured ammunition. However, for the safety of our facility and its members, we prohibit the use of certain ammunitions including: steel cased, tracer, incendiary, or steel core ammunition. As with firearms, we reserve the right to inspect any and all ammunition being fired in our facility, and also the right to deny usage of any ammunition deemed unsafe or not of proper manufacturing or production. We will be featuring an array of new and factory reloaded ammunition for use in the range, including premier manufacturers such as Remington, Federal, Speer, and MGI. We will offer ball, hollow point, and one-time reloaded ammunition at competitive rates in our storefront.
What is frangible ammunition, and why do I have to use it?
The specially-made reactive steel targets require the use of frangible ammunition to avoid damage to the units, and to ensure the shooter’s safety. Frangible ammunition is designed to fragment on contact, which is paramount to the reactive steel targets. You can not bring your own frangible ammunition due to our own concerns with quality, but of course, competitively priced frangible ammunition is always available at the range, in the DGS pro shop, or online at
www.discountgunsales.com or
www.matchgradeonline.com .
What happens if I damage the facility?
Any damage done to the facility by a member or his/her guest is the responsibility of the member. The facility and it’s range are designed for all types of proper use, and any damage caused is sure to be from misuse or inappropriate firing. Any damage to such things as lighting, target retrieval tracks, or other parts of the facility is accountable to the shooter.
How many guns can I bring to my lane?
You may bring as many guns to your lane as you wish, within reason. If your firearms interfere with the walkway or otherwise cause an unsafe environment, you will be asked to limit your weaponry in the lane. We encourage you to take advantage of our in-house storage, which is conveniently located just outside the gun range itself. This way you can have your guns on-hand but not carry them all to your lane.
Can I bring my bag to the lane?
Yes—after your bag, firearm, and ammo are checked, you may bring the bag to your lane. This is a necessary safety check. Again, keep in mind that we have safe, secure, controlled storage units in the facility.
What type of storage units do you provide?
We offer secure, monitored storage units conveniently inside our facility. We have three sizes of locker to rent on a yearly basis including: 1.5 cubic feet units at $300.00 per year, 3 cubic feet units at $600.00 per year, and 9 cubic feet units at $900.00 per year. Do I have to report what guns I store?
For administrative purposes, we only need record what guns are being stored in our long-term rental units. While any gun that enters the facility is subject to inspection, we do not record your weapon unless it is being stored in our units. For stored weapons, we record the type, serial number, and condition. The gun will not be moved or touched in any way by our staff or anyone else.
Can you clean my guns for me?
For those members who don’t wish to clean their own guns, we have in our facility an L&R 236 Ultra-Sonic Cleaner. For as little as $15.00 per clean for two handguns or a rifle, this machine will both clean and lubricate your weapon for you in about 30 minutes.
What if my gun is damaged during the cleaning process?
We ask that the customer bring his or her gun to us field stripped for cleaning in our industrial cleaner. You will place your own weapon in the cleaning basket, and an employee will run the machine. At no time will our employees handle your weapon directly, so that any scratches or other damage are the responsibility of the member.
Can I bring my guns into the facility in any manner I wish?
No —any holstered gun must remain holstered until you are in the shooting lane. We do require that handguns are transported in and out of our facility in a concealed manner. All long guns are required to be brought in the facility in a case, as well as un-holstered handguns. We reserve the right to prohibit entrance if weapons transportation is not compliant with our regulations. All patrons are subject to inspection by our RSO.
Can I draw and fire from my holster?
You may fire from your holster only after passing our Tactical Certification. This certification is reviewed by our in-house Insight instructors, who will evaluate the shooters competency, accuracy, and control of this style of advanced shooting. Registration and testing for this certification must be done in advance. If you are not yet comfortable with this shooting style, we offer classes for this as well. For a complete list of available instruction programs, please see our Insight Instruction page online.
Is rapid fire allowed?
You may rapid fire only after passing our Tactical Certification. After passing the certification, you may increase your firing speed. At any time that our RSO deems your firing unsafe, you may be given a verbal warning. Further disruption or unsafe practices can result in disciplinary action.
What is the magazine capacity limit?
We do not have a magazine capacity limit—we only ask that you remain safe with your shooting. Our magazine limit is in compliance with federal and state regulations. Currently there are no restrictions limiting your capacity, however if regulations are changed, our policy will have to adapt to compliance. We recommend that you bring your magazines into the lane loaded, so that you don’t use up any of your time loading magazines. We know you want to take full advantage of your lane time, and coming prepared will be a big step in accommodating that.
What if my gun is not functioning properly?
If you experience any type of malfunction, we request that you lay the firearm down on the counter, pointing down range, and signal the range officer. If the RSO himself sees the malfunction and receives no signal, he will come to you and request the same. Even if you think everything is fine, the RSO reserves the right to stop you at any time to examine the weapon and ensure safety before you continue shooting.
